FIELD VISIT & STUDY TOUR (2014-15)
REPORT OF THE FIELD VISIT ON 10-10-2014
A
group of 23 students of III B.Sc(Chemistry) and 3 staff members of Chemistry
Department visited Kanyakumari and surrounding places on 10th October
2014. The journey started by 8.00 am
and reached Thovalai around 10.30 a.m . The students and the staff members
visited a Rubber factory at Thovalai near Kanyakumari. They had the chance to
know the various processes in the Rubber industry. In rubber industry they have
seen various process of vulcanization, moulding of rubber into cletch plate
covers, hoses etc., They had their lunch
in the industry itself. Then they visited Kanyakumari beach and Gandhi
mandapam. Students and the staff of the Chemistry department thank the
management for this useful study tour.
An educational tour to Kodaikanal was
arrranged on 28.2.15. The students admired the beauty of nature and visited
important places. Twenty three students of
III B.Sc Chemistry participated in the tour. Prof. Mr. D. Prince, Prof.
Mrs.J.Janet Sylvia and Prof. M. Joice and Mr. S.Santhosam accompanied the
students.
