The Head of the department, the staff and students of department of chemistry gathered in the Hall. Dr.H. Ravindran, the principal of NMCP was kind enough to be the chief guest of the day. The opening prayer was offered by Prof. Mrs. Janet Sylvia Jaba Rose. Miss S. Muthukani of III B.Sc welcomed the gathering.

The students of II B.Sc entertained every one  with a sweet song. The principal inaugurated the chemistry association and enlightened and motivated the students to become great achievers in the field of chemistry in his inaugural address. Next, the students of III B.Sc filled the air with their lovely song. They also held an interesting quiz programme in chemistry. All the students  took  part in it actively. Felicitations were made by Miss .Vasanthi Angel and Master. Sabarivasan, III B.Sc Chem.  They recorded their gratitude to the staff for their encouragement, guidance and efficient coaching. The students of III B.Sc conducted a game involving all the students bringing  a good rapport among them. A warm welcome was extended to all the students of  I B.Sc cheering them up with the  encouraging words to shine in the college during their study. Then  in turn Master Jeno, a student of I B.Sc reciprocated their warm welcome whole heartedly. II year student Miss Lavanya recorded  the vote of thanks, thanking all who contributed for the success of the function. The function came to a happy end with closing prayer by Prof. R.Jeevi Esther.

During the inaugural function the following were elected as the office bearers of chemistry Association of NMCP for the academic year 2015-2016.
