It was 17th June 2020 afternoon 2.30pm every one was in lockdown scarring of covid 19.Department of Chemistry, Nazareth Margoschis College at Pillayanmanai started its academic work through online. We have conducted a webinar on “Mitigation of Ecological Effluence in view of Initiation and Restoration Stratagems.” for the students of Tamil Nadu Dr.Muthulakshsmi Andal of PSGR Krishnammal College for women, Coimbatore was the resource person . To start with the webinar our principal Dr.Arulraj Ponnudurai gave a presidential address. Dr.Janet Sylvia Jabarose , Head of the department of chemistry gave welcome address. Dr.Muthulakshsmi Andal gave a good talk about the environmental pollution and restoration stratagems of the environment she also showed slides about the pollution in Delhi, preferably air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and radiation pollution. That was really a good webinar. Students understood the different pollution and how to get rid of the pollution. Dr.Muthulakshmi Andal was basically an environmental researcher and so she explored many environmental problems to the students.
Totally
37 members from various institution participated. Due to internet issues so
many other participants were unable to attend the webinar. They were all
regretted .But then the responses drive us to conduct the webinars in future.
